The Friends of the Biddenham Village Pond organises a number of events and activities during the year. Everyone is welcome. The Friends also takes part in other events organised in the village which are also included in this diary.
Events in 2018:
Friday 6 April Our Frog Foray at the pond in the evening from 9.00 pm. Children, please bring a responsible adult with you, and everyone please bring a torch but no dogs please and be ready to explore the night time world of the pond. No guarantees, but we hope we will be rewarded by the appearance of toads and newts, and who knows maybe this year even a frog, after all it is their foray!
Saturday, 7 April Our Spring work morning at the pond from 10.00 am to lunchtime. Please join us then if you can, with your gardening gloves/gauntlets and stout shoes/boots, and bring any or all of secateurs, loppers, kneelers and anything else you think might be useful.
Sunday, 10 June Our Summer Splash Out and AGM in the Church Barn, Church End, starting at 3.30 pm. Find out what’s been happening at the pond and enjoy some home made treats.
A Sunday in July Pond Dipping come and explore the wildlife in the pond from 2.30 pm, led by Chris Jones. Children, please bring a responsible adult.
A Sunday in September The Biddenham Show from noon to
4.00 pm at St James Primary School.
