This website is run by the Friends of the Biddenham Village Pond. If you have any comments, suggestions or questions about it or about the Friends, the village pond or the dovecote, please contact us or leave a comment below.
It’s another means – a different sort of ‘area’ complementing the physical pond site itself – through which the Friends can pursue its objective of providing an area available to educational and other organisations and to individuals for encouraging the study and preservation of the environment, particularly amongst the younger members of the community.
This website has been built using the WordPress.com free basic service and its popular Twenty Ten theme. The basic service has some constraints on development of the website but offers real practical benefits to us in running and maintaining it. And it’s free! The other side of that coin is that, to keep the free service free, WordPress may sometimes display advertisements on the website.
Our grateful thanks to Ron Bessey from the Biddenham Gardeners Association for his expert advice and help in the development of this website.
It’s regularly updated with news and photos, so do keep in touch. You can receive automatic alerts about new posts by pressing the ‘+Follow’ button in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, entering your email address and signing up. You’ll then receive an email asking you to confirm that you wish to follow. Once confirmed, you’ll receive emails automatically about our new posts.
We hope you enjoy our website and will visit often.
And, of course, you’d be more than welcome to join us as a Friend – membership application form.
