Grand pond dip

The sun shone on an enthusiastic gathering at the pond this afternoon (Sunday, 3 July) for the 30th anniversary pond dipping, led by chief dipper, Chris Jones.

We were well rewarded as the dipping revealed many newt larvae, great crested and common, ramshorn snails, caddis fly larvae, dragonfly larvae, May fly larvae and other little beasties. Wildlife is thriving in the pond.

Thank you to everyone who came along and to Chris for telling us about our discoveries.
