Heritage Trail opens

The new Biddenham Heritage Trail, which includes the village pond, was opened today, 18 April, by Alistair Burt.

After the opening, villagers and visitors hit the Trail and the Friends of the pond were down by the village pond with the Friends’ banner to answers questions about the pond and to hand out membership forms.

As luck would have it, a moorhen mum appeared with six babies to general delight, although they were quick to hide again as soon as possible. There are bluebells in the triangle on the approach from Gold Lane and the site looked generally splendid in the April sunshine.
