A fine Foray

Friday, 20 March, a fine Spring day, opened with the 21st century’s first solar eclipse, visible over the village, and closed with the 2015 Frog Foray.

Chris and three forayers arrived at the pond. Not unexpectedly, the frogs didn’t. But two great crested newts, a smooth newt, a good turnout of great ramshorn snails, caddis fly larvae and various small beasties were discovered. So a good day was had by all.
