Autumn mists and rain are with us now and the first autumn storm is forecast as the jet stream speeds our way at apparently some 200 mph in the upper atmosphere. Wow!
Luckily, we weren’t working at the pond this weekend but, nevertheless, fingers crossed for a fine morning on Saturday, 9 November when we will be heading to the pond for our autumn work morning, from 10.00 am to lunchtime.
We will be tidying up the site for the winter, trimming, lopping and removing unwanted vegetation, including if we can intrusive reed growth. Please join us if you can and bring any (or all) of secateurs, loppers, gardening gloves/gauntlets, stout shoes/boots, waders, and anything else you think might be useful!
